numie's contributing!

Hey guys! Excited to say I'm going to be a regular contributor over on Free People's BLDG 25 blog. I couldn't be more happy. Check out my first post on The Yin & Yang of Summer Solstice that went up today.

What's everyone going to be doing to celebrate the solstice? I certainly have yoga penciled in somewhere. Hope everyone enjoys the transition.
Happy summer!

It's been a great two weekends. The beginnings of spring have made me very productive, yet propelled me into a lavish, life-enjoyment state all at the same time. I want nothing more than to be outside when the weather is this beautiful. I find excuses to take a long walk or sit and read in the park for hours. I got it in my mind to spoil my little yogi toes with a pedicure post an especially sweaty practice. The utter pleasure it gave me to do so justified what felt like a frivolous expenditure. At the same time, I've been going after projects that have been in the back of my mind for awhile. The feeling of working on something and making moves towards completion is so fulfilling. Overall, I'm satisfied to see my life in balance - propelling forward, steadily happy in the present, and focused in the correct areas.

I'm back at at. Home from vacation and fresh with perspective. Getting away from it all helped me to pinpoint some priorities. I decided that I'm going to concentrate on health, patience  and realizing creative ideas to improve in areas where I feel like I was coming short. The rhythm has felt good as I go from one thing to another. The balance of working hard, exercising, and focusing on creative endeavors has been very sane. I'm happy with the things that I've been able to accomplish, and I'm glad to see myself able to focus in the right areas. It's also been great to get back to my friends. I have so much fun when I'm with them. Between friends and my boyfriend, I'm one happy girl.
